JoyRemote

Accessibility

Accessibility statement for joyremote.com. Last reviewed September 2026.

We want everybody to be able to read these pages, find out what JoyRemote does and costs, and download it - including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard instead of a mouse, magnification, or high-contrast settings.

What we aim for

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA.

What we have done

  • Every page declares its language and is built from real headings, lists and links, so it can be read in order by a screen reader.
  • Everything can be reached with the keyboard alone. The first press of Tab offers a link that skips straight to the page's content, and whatever has the keyboard focus is outlined.
  • Text and background colours meet the WCAG AA contrast ratio of 4.5 to 1, in both the light and the dark appearance.
  • Text can be enlarged in the browser up to twice its size, and the layout adapts to narrow screens.
  • Motion is kept to a minimum and switched off entirely when your system asks for reduced motion.
  • The only image on these pages is the logo, which stands next to the word JoyRemote; it is marked as decorative so it is not read out twice.
  • These pages have no forms of their own.

What we know is not yet right, or not ours

  • The payment form is provided by Paddle, who take payments for us, and appears inside a frame of theirs. Its accessibility is Paddle's; if it gets in your way, write to us and we will help you pay another way or complete the purchase with you.
  • This statement covers the website. The JoyRemote program itself has not yet been reviewed against these guidelines, and parts of it - the picture of the other computer's screen above all - cannot be read by a screen reader.
  • The site has been checked by us, not by an independent auditor.

Telling us about a problem

If something on this site is hard or impossible for you to use, please tell us the page and what went wrong. A person answers, and will tell you what we will do about it.
